The North Face Transgrancanaria 2024 did not disappoint thanks to its high level of competition. The third race of the Gran Canaria World Trail Majors series had victories from Courtney Dauwalter and Raul Butaci after some hard racing. In a week where over 4500 runners gathered on the Island, the main event, the Classic, with 126 Km and 6800 metres of elevation, once again served up one of the best ultra trail races in the world.

The name of the race series has now changed to Gran Canaria World Trail Majors after the announcement, which was made during The North Face Transgrancanaria race week, one of the biggest trail running races in the world welcoming over 4,500 runners from all over the world to the island of Gran Canaria.

BLACK CANYON ULTRAS 2024, SERIOUS COMPETITION, AND COURSE RECORD TIME

Black Canyon Ultras 2024 did not disappoint for its eleventh edition. Challenging, fast and very competitive, the second race in the World Trail Majors series proved to be a firework display from the start. From a delayed start caused by snow at the highest points to the arid desert landscape, we were able to see a good bit of Arizona thanks to the amazing live footage use of drone cameras. The victories of Hayden Hawks and Rachel Drake have confirmed them as two of the best North American runners of the present time.
